The Property

Rustic living meets modern design in our modest accommodations. Family-friendly and relaxed, kick up your boots and make yourself at home. Steps away from the saloon and the arena, hang your hat up for the night and leave your keys here for the week.

The focal point of our 12-room, two-story lodge is the wood-burning fireplace and communal living space. Each room is secure with a new queen or king bed, desk, window, closet, furnishings, and a private in-suite bathroom. Each lodge room can sleep up to two adults. This is the perfect place to bring people together. Read more about gatherings at the ranch.

Our creekside one-bedroom and studio cabins offer a little more privacy. These rooms accommodate four to six guests comfortably.

Dining in The Kitchen at the Ranch

We sit around one table. We eat well. This is life on the ranch. Happiness is a full belly and new friends.

Whether you’re booking an all-inclusive vacation or a simple stay, we cook for you. Our chef, Drew West is a graduate of Culinary Institute of America, Greystone in Napa Valley, but his roots are in the South. He accommodates the most trying dietary restrictions with the most incredible cuisine.

We provide three square meals each day scheduled around our activities.

  • Breakfast is served from 7:00-9:00 a.m.
  • Lunch is ready promptly at 12:30 p.m. each day.
  • Dinner is served at 6:30 p.m. every day but Sunday.

Friday night BBQ

Friday night BBQs are open to the public. ($24 for adults 16 & up, $11.25 for juniors 6-15, $2.25 for children 3-5, the littlest ones under 3 are free). We love our community and we think you will, too. Please call ahead.

We encourage guests to inform us of any dietary restrictions upon booking. Outside of our provided meals, guests are encouraged to pack additional snacks if necessary. Have questions about our food service? Contact us.

The Greenhorn Saloon

We all know whiskey was made for cowboys. Tequila tastes better in the sun. Gin is for the steadfast. Here at the Greenhorn, we drink to new experiences, to fear faced down, to a long trail ride, and to a great day spent together.

Heck, we’ll pretty much drink to anything at the Greenhorn Saloon. Our full-service bar is open to guests and laymen. Artisan whiskey fills our shelves and and local beer is always on draft. We hope you will belly up to our bar and tell your tallest tale from life on the trail. This is how the west was won.

Your trusty steed

From your first ride to your last day, the wranglers read you like they read the wind and pair you up with the most trailworthy hose for you. Like modern day matchmakers, their eye for a lasting love is uncanny. Your horse becomes your trusty companion throughout the duration of your stay. With more than 60 horses riding daily, our herd is happiest with the Greenhorns.

Getting to the Ranch

Nestled in the Lost Sierra, this hidden escape is just over an hour from Reno-Tahoe International Airport and less than three hours from Sacramento International Airport.

Easy to get to and hard to reach, just the way we like it.

Need a ride from the airport? We can do that.
