for just a few days or a few weeks! We can accommodate any length of stay. Although it’s still early in the season, with the upper mountains still holding some snow, day time temperatures are comfortable, and evenings generally cool and crisp - perfect for bonfire sing-alongs. What makes spring riding so enjoyable are all the wild flowers and fresh spring growth that come out all over the mountains. And of course, the trails aren’t dusty and it’s never crowded this early in the season which means even more personalized attention for you!
2011 Summer Season – June 11th through August 26th is our peak season. During this season, full week reservations are preferred but we will also accomodate weekend, mid-week and day use guests as well. A full week means check in on Saturday before lunch, and check out the following Friday after a hearty cowboy breakfast! Riding during the summer months is especially nice because the weather is sunny and warm during the day, and very mild in the evenings. We do get occasional afternoon thunder showers, but usually they blow through and make the trails fresh. For families, this is also a good time since most other families with children visit during the summer.
2011 Fall Season – This year our Fall Season is from August 27th through the third week in October. During this time, you can enjoy the amazingly beautiful fall colors and fall foliage on the ranch and in surrounding areas. The scenery is beautiful with reds, yellows, oranges, and a myriad of other brilliant color combinations! We are delighted to announce that Greenhorn Ranch will be available for group leases through the entire Fall, Winter and Spring! Call

Winter Season - Winters are very peaceful at Greenhorn Creek Guest Ranch. Our horses are moved to greener pastures as snow blankets the landscape! Even though the activities schedule stops, and the kitchen is closed during the winter months, we do still have rooms available in the lodge for guests passing through. We also have the saloon and dance hall that is still available for holiday parties, group events etc. Call for availability!
