Greenhorn Vacation Experience

Greenhorn Gang - Wednesday, April 09, 2014

The days of the old west, when cowboys sat around a campfire, grabbed a guitar or harmonica and started singing folksongs are still recreated at Greenhorn Creek Guest Ranch. It’s an evening ritual that families vacationing at the Ranch always enjoy, as lyrics softly fill the night air. By the warmth of the crackling fire, they sit casually scattered about, gazing straight up into the dark night sky, as if they hope to pluck one of those shining stars and place it right into their very own pockets.

For some, the Ranch is a world away from life as they typically know it. The experiences here often lead to a lifetime of memories and strong family traditions, as many of the guests at Greenhorn Creek Guest Ranch have been vacationing here for years.

Campfire sing-alongs, sticky marshmallow s’mores, dancing in the saloon, catching fish in the pond, and authentic trail rides are what make Greenhorn Creek Guest Ranch a truly magical place where families gather to have fun. It’s here that families take time out of their busy schedules to reacquaint themselves with one another and reconnect with the great outdoors.

With all the great activities at the Ranch, guests are sure to work up an appetite. The friendly Chuckhouse staff serves up three square meals per day that are sure to satisfy. Breakfast ranges from sizzling bacon, eggs and potatoes to lighter faire like spinach omelets and fresh fruit. Lunches may be hamburger cookouts on the trail or hearty soup and salad in the Chuckhouse. Dinners are always delicious from Finger-lickin’ ribs and country style sides served at the barbecue pit to romantic candle-lit dinners indoors.

The Ranch is sure to have lodging to suit everyone. From rustic cabins nestled under the pines, to snug rooms in the lodge, accommodations at the Ranch are comfortable and cozy.

Guests at this authentic ranch fall in love with the horses, wranglers and good ol’ fashioned hospitality that they receive from the gang at Greenhorn Ranch. It’s that friendly welcome, year after year, where new friends are made and acquaintances are never forgotten that keeps them coming back.

It’s hard to beat a vacation in the rugged Sierra Nevada Mountains where nature abounds and hospitality overflows with gratitude and kindness. This vacation experience is something unlike traditional getaways; it’s one that leaves a lasting impression for a lifetime.
